The Christian Calendar (Liturgical Calendar)

The Christian Calendar is a way of keeping time that pays attention to the birth, life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Developed over centuries, the use of the Christian calendar at home and church has benefit for both individual and corporate spiritual formation. The Calendar also has value for Christian education as the life of Jesus and the birth of the Church are celebrated annually.  Use of the Christian calendar among Baptists has grown significantly in recent years as many churches have discovered its value. Some very helpful links for understanding and using the Christian calendar, also known as the Liturgical Calendar, include:
